The NSNP is Nova Scotia’s Provincial Nominee Program. Through this program, prospective immigrants with the skills and experience may receive a Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will speed up their immigration process. Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities
The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream selects candidates in the federal Express Entry system who meet provincial labour market needs to apply for nomination. Only candidates who receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration may apply.

Entrepreneur
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) Entrepreneur Stream is designed for individuals who wish to start or acquire a business and settle permanently in Nova Scotia.
It is for experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live in Nova Scotia. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business. After operating the business for a year, the entrepreneur may be nominated for permanent resident status. Application to the stream is by invitation only.

International Graduate Entrepreneur
The International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream is for recent graduates of a Nova Scotia university or the Nova Scotia Community College. They must have already started or bought a Nova Scotia business and operated it for at least a year. If they intend to settle in Nova Scotia, the graduate may be nominated for permanent resident status. Application to the stream is by invitation only.

Skilled Worker
The NSNP accepts applications under this stream from individuals who have received a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. Workers in skilled, semi-skilled, and low-skilled occupations may be eligible to apply.
The Skilled Worker stream helps employers recruit foreign workers and recently graduated international students whose skills are needed in Nova Scotia. An employer can only hire foreign workers for positions they have been unable to fill with permanent residents or Canadian citizens.

Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry
Nova Scotia has temporarily stopped accepting new applications for the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream.
Nova Scotia uses the CIC’s Express Entry immigration selection system to select candidates for Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry. This stream is for highly-skilled individuals with a post-secondary education and qualifications that will help them successfully settle in Nova Scotia. There is a list of 29 eligible occupations under this stream.

Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
The Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream selects highly skilled individuals who wish to live in Nova Scotia permanently. Applicants must have at least one year of experience working in Nova Scotia in a high skilled occupation.
Nova Scotia uses the CIC’s Express Entry immigration selection system to select candidates for this stream, which provides a pathway to permanent residence for highly skilled applicants who have worked for at least one year for a Nova Scotia employer.
